D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The title honors Clare concertina player Sonny Murray, with whom the hornpipe is associated in modern times although it is a widespread older tune often called “Delahunty's” but which also has a variety of names. "The Home Brew" title is from Frank Quinn (1893-1964), a fiddler from Greagh, Drumlish, Co. Longford, who played this as the first in a set of two tunes that appear together under the title "The Home Brew--Hornpipe" in New York in July, 1925.
