SOOTH END, DA. Shetland, Jig (6/8 time). A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. "Da Sooth End" is a 20th century tune composed by Shetland fiddler Willie Hunter, Jr. (1933-1994), a founder member of the legendary group the Hamefarers. It is one of Hunter's most famous compositions. Hunter was widely regarded as the finest Shetland fiddler of his generation. The jig is also published in Dance Music From Shetland and the North East, vol. 1 (Lerwick, 1975).
