STRAP BUCKNER'S FANCY. American. The title appears in a list of traditional Ozarks Mountains fiddle tunes compiled by musicologist/folklorist Vance Randolph, published in 1954.  Aylett “Strap” Buckner (1794-1832), was an early Texas pioneer, Indian fighter, and folklore hero.
