SWAGGERING JIG [2], THE (Port na Buaiceála). AKA and see: "Heart of a Loaf (The)," "Poitín Whiskey," "Pottien Whiskey," "Óró a thaidhg a ghrá," "Swaggering Jig (2) (The)." Irish, Slip Jig (9/8 time). E Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Breathnach points out the name "Swaggering Jig" was often used for jigs, although he does not think this particular tune is the same as he found printed under that title in other collections. Versions can be found under several different titles (see alternates for more). It is related in the first strain to “Rakes of Drumlish (1).”
