SWALLOW'S HORNPIPE. English, Hornpipe (whole time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. The hornpipe was collected by folksong collector and music scholar wikipedia:Frank_Kidson (1855-1926) from a music copybook that had belonged to a musician named Swallow. The hornpipe was untitled in the copybook., and remained untitled in Kidson's manuscript. The "Swallow's Hornpipe" title for the tune was awarded by contemporary musician and researcher Chris Partington.
