Tune used for a single step dance in the North‑West (England) morris dance tradition. Kidson, in<st1:city><st1:place>Groves</st1:place></st1:city>, identifies it as a version of "<a href="https://www.ibiblio.org/fiddlers/ROD_ROR.htm#ROGUE'S_MARCH_[1]">The Rogue's March</a>" and says “Tight Little Island” was a popular humorous song. As “The Island” it was written by Thomas Dibdin about 1798, and sung by a singer named Davies at Sadler’s Wells in that year.
