TIME WE HAD IN BANSHA, THE. Irish, Reel (cut time). D Major/Mixolydian/Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA’BB’. Composed by County Cavan/Philadelphia fiddler and composer Ed Reavy (1898-1988). According to Ed’s son Joe, the tune commemorates the time the local fife and drum corps visited Bansha (early 19th century).
