TREALOCK LAUDER. AKA and see "Barony Jig (1)," "Fisherman's Jig," "Green Gates (2) (The)," "Redican's Mother," "River Lee (The)," “Turlough the Brave.” Irish, Slip Jig (9/8 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCC. The title is a garbled version of the Irish Toirdhealbhach Láidir, which means ‘strong or brave Turlough’. O’Neill gives the Irish title as “Toirdhealbhach Treun” (see “Turlough, the Brave”), although the latter word is spelled tréan in modern usage. It also means ‘strong or brave’.
