TRIP TO KILBURN [1].AKA - "Trip to Killburn." English, Country Dance Tune (cut time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The melody was first printed (with directions for a country dance) in John Young's Second Volume of the Dancing Master, 3rd edition (1718), reprinted in the 4th edition of 1728. It also was printed by rival London music publisher John Walsh in his Second Book of the Compleat Country Dancing-Master (editions of 1719, 1735 and 1749).
