G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Sourced to the James Biggins 1779 manuscript (Leeds, west Yorkshire) held in the Leeds Central Library, Yorkshire. Barry Callaghan (2007) finds it in the George Spencer (Leeds, west Yorkshire), Joshua Burnett (Worsborough, south Yorkshire) and William Irwin (Langdale, Cumbria) early 19th century collections as untitled tunes and also under the “Washington Hornpipe” title.
