VULCAN'S FORGE. Scottish, March (6/8 time). C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. A note with the tune in both Watlen (Circus Tunes, Edinburgh, 1791) and Aird's Selections, vol. 4 (Glasgow, 1796) directs the tune be played directly after "Vulcan's March," by Lady Balcarris. The march also appears in J. Watlen's Collection of Celebrated Marches & Quick Steps (London, 1798, p. 3). See note for "Vulcan's March" for more.
