Silly verses are sung to the tune, one of which explains the alternate title. For example, Charlie Acuff sang:

Wait in the kitchen till the cook comes in.

Stuck my finger in the ducks eyeball,
The ducks eyeball, the ducks eyeball.
Stuck my finger in the ducks eyeball.
