"The Warld's gane o'er me now" is a slip jig printed in Cuminestown, Aberdeenshire, dancing master and fiddler-composer biography:William Christie's 1820 collection. Christie describes the tune as "old" and states it was communicated to him by J. Allardyce (who also "communicated" another old tune in Christie's collection, "Duncan Swine's Wife).
