WHACK AT THE WHIGS, A (Buille sr na Uigaib). AKA and see “Curl the Wig,” "Leather the Wig," "Wig (1) (The)." Irish, Slip (Hop) Jig (9/8 time). G Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. There is a playful interplay between 'wig' and 'whig' in the title and alternate title. The Whigs are a political party, while the older title 'Leather the Wig' title means to thresh a wig.
