WILLIE'S SINGLE. Irish, Single Jig (12/8 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA’B. The title denotes simply that it was a single jig from piper Willie Clancy. Henrik Norbeck points out that an untitled jig in R.M. Levey’s Dance Music of Ireland, 2nd Collection (1873), appears to be the source tune from which it was derived.
