There is a fragment of text that may apply to this tune, collected from Mrs. Margaret Gillespie and printed in the Greig-Duncan Folk Song Collection vol. 8 (1925, p. 254), with the indicated tune "Smith's a Gallant Fireman (The)." The first line goes, "Ay, ay, Willie man, Willie are ye waukin' " [Roud No. 13152].
