WIND THAT TURNS THE MILL. Canadian, Reel. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune was recorded by Manitoba Métis fiddler Andy DeJarlis (1915-1975). who often played it for the breakdown section of a square dance set (following the first and second change). It is based on a traditional tune. The reel shifts in and out of modal phrases in the second strain.

Source for notated version : - Mabel Vogt (Potlatch, Idaho) [Williams]. Vogt had the tune from Bob Montgomery, champion British Columbia fiddler.
