The tune appears in the Goodman manuscripts (IV, pp. 4-5) as “Cogue in the Evening,” attributed to the famous 18th century uilleann piper Walker ‘Piper’ Jackson, of the townland of Lisdaun, parish of Ballingarry, Aughrim, County Limerick.
