YOU ARE WELCOME AS THE FLOWERS IN MAY. AKA - "You're as Welcome as the Flowers in May." Old Time, Song Air. USA, Tenn. Recorded by Chatanooga, Tenn., fiddler Jess Young for Gennett Records in 1924. The sentimental song was written by Dan J. Sullivan (1875-1948) and published in New York in 1902 by Jos. W. Stern & Co. It was recorded a number of times in the 78 RPM era, by Carson Robison, the Farmer Sisters, Mr. & Mrs. Hugh Cross (Columbia 15259, 1928), Connie Sides (Columbia 15008, 1924), Jimmie Davis, among others.
