BLACKROCK SHORE, THE. Irish, Hornpipe. D Major. Standard tuning. AABB. Composed by County Cavan/Philadelphia fiddler and composer Ed Reavy (1898-1988). The tune was named for the song "Maid of the Blackrock Shore," which Reavy remembered from his Aunt Ann's singing when he was a boy.
