Votr' petit chien, Madame

Find traditional instrumental music

A two-part version of the Varsovienne is played in Quebec under the title "Votr' petit chien, Madame!" (Your little dog, Mrs.). The title refers to humorous lyrics that were put on the melody at the very end of the 19th Century, the earliest known reference to a printed version of the song dating from 1901 by Montreal publisher Albert Turcotte.
