Casse-reel de Jean-Baptiste April
A very similar tune, but crooked, was played by Jean-Baptiste April, a fiddler from Notre-Dame-du-Portage, Quebec, recorded by Marius Barbeau on wax cylinder in 1918. April gave it the title "Casse-Reel", which suggest a Scottish origin of the tune. Here is the abc notation: X:24 T: 24.
