N:Lady Saltoun was Catharine Thurlow, the spouse of Alexander Fraser, 17th Lord
N:Saltoun, (1785-1853), a career soldier who say honorable service in the Napoleonic
N:Wars and the First Opium War. She was the daughter of Lord Chancellor
N:Edward Thurlow, a Tory politician and lawyer who served under four Prime
N:Ministers. She married Saltoun in 1815 and died in 1826 without issue.
