I love Irish traditional music, and I've been playing fiddle, off and on, for the last 20 years. I greatly admire the playing of James Kelly, Martin Hayes, Kevin Burke. I like simple, straight-forward presentation (not hyped up) of the music, and have had some wonderful experiences in Ireland and at the Augusta Heritage Festival in West Virginia. I'm probably going to seek a teacher who can work with me on playing and ornamenting the Irish Airs.
