Boo Reiners is a multi-instrumentalist who has been based in the New York City metro area for many years, establishing himself as a go-to sideman and collaborator for bands and artists across a wide spectrum of genres including rock, bluegrass, R&B, pop, country, hip hop, jazz, blues, big band, klezmer, and folk. Has appeared at many iconic venues and studios across the country and abroad, performing, recording, touring or filming with groups and artists such as Dispatch, Phil Lesh, Al Kooper, Pete Seeger, Charlie Louvin, Steve Martin, Tony Trischka, Ben Stiller and Kristen Wiig, Michael Moore, Amy Poehler, Swingadelic, Ronnie Stoneman, Michael Leonhart, Natalie Merchant, Martin Sexton, and many others. In the studio and on tour with world music pioneers The Klezmatics, he helped the group to win their 2007 Grammy Award for "Wonder Wheel: Lyrics By Woody Guthrie” which followed his first album with the band called “Woody Guthrie’s Happy Joyous Hanukkah.” Reiners is co-leader of his own Demolition String Band, a Hoboken/NYC based act with that has racked up countless miles stateside and abroad with numerous albums in their catalogue. Americana, country, bluegrass, rock and other roots music informs their eclectic sound and thrilling performances. The audio collection "My Name Is New York: Rambling Around Woody Guthrie's Town" features the band's collaboration with Woody on the song "Go Coney Island, Roll On The Sand.” He also works as a music instructor at Stevens Institute Of Technology College Of Arts and Letters in Hoboken, NJ, Saint Peter’s Prep high school in Jersey City, NJ, Guitar Bar in Hoboken, NJ while maintaining a selective private teaching schedule with students of all ages.
