Have been playing the fiddle since 1960, various styles including bluegrass, old time dance music, 19th century ballroom. My current interest is pioneer music of the American Far West. I was born & raised in Tacoma, Washington, have a B.A. in American History from Reed College in Portland, Oregon, an M.A. in Anthropology/ethnomusicology from the University of Washington, and currently live in Seattle, WA. With my husband Phil Williams have been operating Voyager Recordings and Publications, which publishes CDs and books of various regional styles of old time fiddling, emphasizing the Pacific Northwest.
