SAILOR’S (HORNPIPE) [7]. AKA and see "Clark's Hornpipe (1)," "His Majesty's Hornpipe," "Ivy Leaf Hornpipe," "Jim Clark's Hornpipe," "Morpeth's Hornpipe," “Morpeth Rant (1),” "New Sailor's Hornpipe (The)," “West's Hornpipe.” English, Hornpipe or Reel. B Flat Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Jamie Knowles (1993) identifies this tune as an unusual version of “Morpeth Rant (1).” John Moore entered the melody in his mid-19th century music manuscript collection as "[[New Sailor's Hornpipe (The)."
