BELLE HALIMANDE, LA. English, Country Dance (2/4 time). England, North-West. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. 'Halimande' perhaps refers to 'Allemande'. The tune bears melodic and harmonic resemblance to "Nowella Ballandoise (La)" in Alexander McGlashan's Collection of Scots Measures (1781, p. 26), although they two tunes set in different meter.
