DUSTY MILLER [3]. Old-Time, Breakdown. USA, Ky. A Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. An east Kentucky "Dusty Miller" was also played by fiddler Santford Kelly. Source J. P. Fraley (Rush, Kentucky, d. 2011) said his father had a flour mill, and thus he perhaps had an affinity for the tune.

Source for notated version: J.P. Fraley (b. 1923, Rush, Ky.) [Brody, Silberberg].

Printed sources: Brody (Fiddler's Fakebook), 1983; p. 96. Silberberg (Tunes I Learned at Tractor Tavern), 2002; p. 39.

Recorded sources: Rounder 0037, J.P. and Annadeene Fraley - "Wild Rose of the Mountain."
