ELEPHANT HOTEL. American, Waltz. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'B. Composed c. 1980 by fiddler Jay Ungar (West Hurley, N.Y.) inspired by a building in Somers, N.Y. (which considers itself the home of the American circus), dedicated to Barnum and Bailey's first elephant.
