CILL BEATHACH (Kilbaha). AKA and see "Scully Casey's," "Tom Steele (3)," "Tomm Steele," "Laurel Groves (The)." Irish, Reel. D Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Breathnach (1963) says there is a 'faulty version' called "Tom Steele" (the name of a colleague of the Irish statesman Daniel O'Connell) that appears in the late 19th century publication Kerr's Violin Instructor and Irish Folk Song Album (83). Kilbaha is in County Clare. Fiddler John Kelly was born in the area.
