NAPOLEON'S MARCH. AKA and see "Buonoparte's March," "Hanoverian March," "Napoleon's Grand March," "Bonaparte's March (2)." English, March (cut time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. A nineteenth century march that seems to have been popular toward the middle of the century. It was entered into the c. 1850 music copybook of Lake District musician William Irwin and the late 19th century copybook of Cumbrian musician Henry Stables.
