QUADRILLE DE CHEZ NOUS [1]. AKA and see "Glise à Sherbrooke, "Reel du Canada," "Reel de Tadoussac." French Canadian, Quadrille (4/4 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'. The tune was recorded under the "Quadrille de chez nous" title by fiddler Joseph Allard [1] (1873-1947) in Montreal in 1928 for Victor records, although it has several names in Quebec repertoire. Many American fiddlers know the tune as "Glise à Sherbrooke", by which name is was frequently played at New England contra dances since the latter 20th century.

Allard recorded the reel again in 1945 under the title "Reel du Canada."
