DISMISSAL, THE. Canadian, Reel. Canada; Cape Breton, Prince Edward Island. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'. The reel was composed by Foot Cape, Cape Breton, musician Sandy MacLean, and appeared in MacQuarrie’s Cape Breton Collection (1940), from which it was picked up by PEI fiddlers as well.
