PAINE'S REEL. AKA and see “Dundee Hornpipe,” “Pantomime Reel (2).” American, Reel. F Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. A member of the large “Dundee Hornpipe,” “Kildare Fancy,” “Union Hornpipe (3)” family of tunes. Boston publisher Elias Howe 'borrowed' this tune and several others from Providence, Rhode Island, musician and teacher George Saunders' violin tutor.
